Festival Musicas do Mundo
Der Gruß vom Bürgermeister von Sines zum Festival lautet:
„When FMM Sines‘ audience enter the gates of the castle or any other venue of the festival, they come along with the expectation of the unexpected. At FMM Sines we find a unique festival-goer: one that prefers not to know beforehand what is going to happen in front of them on the stage. But what they are looking for is not randomness, gimmickry or exocticism for its own sake. They arrive at the Porto Covo main square at sunset, or at the Sines beach stage at night, in serch of music that can give them an experience of authenticity much beyond the pure show. Entsprechend kommt ein buntes Publikum nach Sines. Ideal ist das zuverlässig warme Wetter für das Campieren am Strand.
Flankiert wird das Festival von etlichen Ständen zur Verpflegung, vor denen zuweil lange Schlangen entstehen. Hier wird zum Beispiel frisches Brot mit unterschiedlicher Füllung gebacken.
Um kurz nach 19 Uhr startete Karyna Gomes mit ihrer starken Aufführung.
Sie kommt aus Guinea-Bissau und hat 2014 in Portugal ein preisgekröntes Album veröffentlicht, das die Kulturen von 3 Kontinenten zusammenführt.
Später kamen Bamba Wassoulou Groove mit einer Mischung von psychedelic Rock, Elektronischer Musik und Funk.
Wenn es kein Open Air Festival gewesen wäre, wären wir aufgrund der Rauchschwaden, die sich über das Gelände legten, bereits high nur vom Zusehen.
Es war ein tolles, friedvolles Musikfest und es war schon spät als wir wieder zurück in unser Hotel in Sines fuhren, weil Porto Covo bereits ausgebucht war.
